Wow it has been a long time since I have been here but I am so happy to be back. First of all I would like to thank Tracie for stepping in when I needed it most. THANK YOU SO MUCH!! I don’t know what June would have done without you. The Crochet Along is a heap of fun but also a lot of work.
So I am back as your admin again WOOT WOOT!! How have you all been? Since it has been a little quiet over here I thought I’d start my intro of with a mini tute. I have been making a couple of these in March for some friends and they always result in a lot of oooh”s and aaaahs.

So here we go with the mini-tutorial. FInd some pretty beads and some matching cotton yarn in summery colors. Thread all the beads on your yarn first, be careful you do not want to cause the yarn to get fuzzy. Then it is just chain stitches, I did 3 or 4 stitches between every bead but you can vary the distance for a different effect.
When you have done your last bead you just loop them into 2 or 3 lengths and make a ring on one end and a clasp on the other. All done!
You can really make it as complicated as you like with sparkly beads and beautiful yarn or like me with wooden beads and some scrap-yarn..
Good luck!
Oh don’t forget from today summer crochet also includes amigurumi again!! So show us your amis baby

Welcome back, Eve! We have missed you
Very cool! I see that with a nice bathing suit and a matching sarong-type wrap done in the same cord, maybe with some of those beads stuck on randomly… hmm…
Thanks, Eve. I can’t wait to give this a try.
very pretty!
So adorable! I’m totally going to try this one!
So i tried last night to make a necklace like yours – and it turned out looking like a macrame plant holder. I’m hoping it was just the colors i tried…..
Oh no!! Have you taken a pic??
