Thanks to eveyone who voted on the new theme. The votes were mostly split between Summer crochet, summer wearables, embellished bags and wire crochet, although we have a clear winner with SUMMER CROCHET! I think it’ll be a fun sunny theme to keep us all happy.
Summer crochet includes items from all of the above votes - plus amigurumi and [...]

I designed and crocheted tiny lace for bottle cap pincushion rings. This was my first time making lace. I really like the first one. The second one is simple and extremely tiny… and I’m not sure you can even call it lace. lol

My Miniature Jointed Teddy Bear. I was visiting some websites and came upon a few miniature crochet/craft sites, and well, it inspired me to try this little bear. My lil bear stands a little over 3 inches, but I have to confess, it took me longer to crochet this little bear than it [...]

The Great Dane is a little over 15 cm (in fact, he’s 17 cm), but his fellow little Chi measures only 5 cm (ears included!), so together I guess they’ll fit the theme.

A Newb bearing gifts…

I joined this group not too long ago (like a week or so, really…) and really like the idea of how this works!  Plus, it gives me extra motivation!  I love working on small things, mainly for the “instant gratification” that goes along with them!  So, here is one of my small projects for sharing! Thanks (again) to June for helping me out a bit.

This was by far the SMALLEST crochet hook/thread I have ever used. After finishing the dress, I switched off to some worsted weight yarn and crocheted a hat for Blythe as well. Let me tell you, that hook and yarn felt JUMBO compared to what I [...]

Hoorah! Henny Penny is finished. Now for those experienced in the craft, this project would have taken an hour or so. But for me it is quite an achievement to complete it in a day and a bit (sooner if I hadn’t run out of materials). The children also helped: by leaving me [...]

I came up with a quick and easy storage solution for my crochet hooks and accessories.  I call it the Crocheted Crochet Hook Holder.  It not only holds all of my crochet hooks, it also holds my scissors, other accessories, and my stitch markers, which I would always lose.  Now, everything is in one little [...]
